$CNC Token
Utility
The $CNC token is the apex premium currency of the Captain & Company ecosystem, with three uses:
- Staked on Ethereum, it earns governance Doubloons through Governance.
- Both staked (stCNC) and held $CNC on Ethereum count in community polls that direct new features.
- It can be placed in liquidity positions to earn fees.
Distribution and supply
$CNC was originally distributed through a user-operated node network, with all tokens emitted to node operators rather than pre-mined. In mid-2026 tokenholders voted unanimously to discontinue node emissions and fix the total supply, so no new $CNC is emitted. The vote is on Snapshot.
The total supply is now fixed at a projected 417,456,367 CNC. That figure assumes every historical node operator mints all of their rewards, so it is higher than the amount visible on chain by default, since in practice not all operators are expected to mint. The original planned total was 10,000,000,000 CNC, so the vote cut the lifetime supply by roughly 96%.
Claiming legacy node rewards
If you operated or held nodes you can still recover and claim unclaimed node rewards from the Stake tab on your profile. Connect your wallet, open the Stake tab, review your claimable node and pool rewards, and follow the on-chain prompts. An optional delegation setting is in the advanced options.

The proof-of-work nodes that distributed the $CNC token were not offered as securities, and purchasers of these or any other Captain & Company affiliated digital assets should have zero expectation of profit, irrespective of the plans and ideas outlined in any conceptual paper.
