10. Pirate Pass

The Pirate Pass is the optional upgrade. It is not a gate on the game.

What it does

While a pass is active:

• You can mint ecosystem currencies from the Doubloons you earn.
• You can withdraw eligible in-game items as NFTs.
• You accrue more experience, mXP, and mScore. The pass multiplies what you earn rather than unlocking a separate reward.
• You are granted a dinghy for as long as it lasts.

What it does not do

A pass is not required to earn Doubloons. Players without one play the whole game, earn the whole game's Doubloons, hold land, run a guild, and win a war. What they cannot do is take value out on chain.

When a pass lapses, the dinghy is revoked and the minting and withdrawal routes close. Everything you earned stays yours.
