# 7. Auction House

The <mark style="color:orange;">**Auction House**</mark> is where players can buy and sell game assets between themselves, using [nuggies](/game-guide/how-to-play/4.-currencies.md#premium-currency). The Auction House is accessible in-game from the main ESC menu.

Players place <mark style="color:orange;">**buy orders**</mark> and <mark style="color:orange;">**sell orders**</mark> at prices they choose. These populate an order book, and the best buy orders and sell orders are matched.

When players place a buy order, the nuggies needed to execute the order are held in escrow until the order is either completed or cancelled. When players place a sell order, the item needed to execute the order is held in escrow similarly.&#x20;

A 7.5% transaction tax applies to all trades performed in the Auction House.

{% hint style="info" %}
Players that have a [Pirate Pass ](/game-guide/how-to-play/11.-pirate-pass.md)and have passed verification in their [profile](https://kap.gg/profile) can withdraw items as NFTs.&#x20;
{% endhint %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.capnco.gg/game-guide/how-to-play/7.-auction-house.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
